How do I apply for StepEx?

We collaborated with StepEx to provide you with even more flexible and affordable payment options to cover your training fees. The StepEx instalment plan allows you to make 12 or 24 monthly course fee payments when your fees become due.

Once you have formally accepted your offer for a place on the iO-Sphere Experience Accelerator programme, you will receive a link and a reference code to start your application with StepEx on their application portal.

  • Once you have submitted the initial application, you may receive a link to grant open banking access. Please follow the on-screen instructions and grant open banking access to your most-used account (one that best reflects your day-to-day expenditure)
  • You will receive another email to categorise your expenses for StepEx to evaluate your current expenses. If your open banking details could not be retrieved, a questionnaire will be sent instead.
  • Once you have passed the affordability review, you will receive a conditional offer alongside a request for ID verification via Veriff. Click on the link in the email from Veriff and verify your identity using your passport.
  • Once your identity and residency have been confirmed, you will receive instructions to set up your £1 direct debit with StepEx as a monthly fee of £1. This £1 monthly subscription is set up to prevent double-charging come the month your repayment begins. 
  • Once that has been set up, you will receive a contract via email. You can digitally sign the contract directly on the StepEx platform. Please ensure you have thoroughly read through all the documents provided and feel free to contact StepEx at info@stepex.co should you have any questions.
  • If you have not provided open banking access previously, you would receive an email requesting this after the contract is signed.
  • Congratulations! You are now part of the StepEx community and ready to start your journey with iO-Sphere!
  • If all the checks are passed, you will receive a contract via email and you're ready to start your iO-Sphere journey!

You will receive communication from the StepEx team again one month before the completion of your programme. At that stage, you will be asked to regularly provide details of your employment status.
